Ally DeRusso
Assistant Lecturer

Ally DeRusso is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in Upstate New York. She blends printmaking, photography, and textiles to explore themes of memorialization, domesticity, and recollection. She is inspired by histories of vernacular photography and traditions of memorial and sentimentality. Through play, experimentation, and curiosity, she considers how the print can be a site for remembrance and erosion. DeRusso has exhibited at venues such as Kinhouse Gallery (Fort Wayne, IN), Collar Works (Troy, NY), and CREATE Council on the Arts (Catskill, NY). She holds an MFA from the University at Albany and a BFA in Printmaking and Photography from The College of Saint Rose and attended Frogman’s Printmaking Workshops as a Studio Assistant.
