New York City Ballet matinée at Saratoga Performing Arts Center
Enter the enchanted land of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a lush forest besieged by quixotic love triangles and feuding fairy kingdoms, awash with magic at every turn.
A full-length adaptation of one of Shakespeare’s most cherished comedies, and inspired by the music of Mendelssohn, Balanchine captures the play’s infinite colors: the bumbling comedy of the Rude Mechanicals, the feisty feuding between Titania and Oberon, the romantic confusion of the young lovers chasing each other through the Athenian forest, and of course the mischief-making Puck — in a ballet of myriad pleasures.
Ndakinna Education Center
Pre-College students will participate in an immersive wilderness navigation and survival workshop led by Ndakinna Director James Bruchac. Set within the nature preserve in Greenfield, NY, the experience will combine hands-on skill-building with guided exploration, introducing students to essential techniques such as navigation, fire-making, shelter construction, and finding food and water in the wild. The program will also incorporate elements of nature awareness, animal tracking, and survival strategy, offering insight into how people past and present have lived in and learned from the natural world. Through interactive activities and moderate outdoor exploration, students will develop practical skills, confidence, and a deeper connection to their environment.

Past Community Service Projects
Project: Â鶹Æƽâ°æ Community Garden (photos by Eric Jenks)
Our project helped launch Â鶹Æƽâ°æ's new Community Garden. Students toured the garden then spent the morning weeding, planting and harvesting fruits and vegetables, many of which are served at Â鶹Æƽâ°æ's Dining Hall.
Spring Run Trail Maintenance Project, (photos by Joe Levy)
Students maintained the Spring Run Trail, raking, collecting debris and pulling weeds
along the trail, which is a favorite of runners, hikers and cyclists.
