Is given to a graduating senior who has shown outstanding interest and achievement in the study of Sociology.
2026 Brie Schaffer
Brie has distinguished herself as a budding social scientist. As a Sociology and Political Science double major, she has studied questions of local government policy with a rare curiosity, a commitment to rigor, and extraordinary independence. She tackled numerous research projects while at Â鶹Æƽâ°æ, spanning topics from participatory budgeting to police responses to mental health crises. She goes above and beyond the curriculum to develop her sociological skills, including teaching herself advanced regression analysis and the coding software R.
